Matthew James Noone is an Australian-Irish ex-indie rocker, improviser, composer, scholar and performer of the 25 stringed lute called sarode. He has studied Indian classical music with Sougata Roy Chowdhury in Kolkata and K. Sridhar in the UK for two decades and performs in a diverse range of disciplines ranging from Irish traditional and Indian Classical music to free improvisation and electroacoustic music.
