The 'Stradivari: The Myth and The Music' exhibition that was due to be held at the Wallraf-Richartz-Museum in Cologne next March has been put on hold. A spokesman for the museum said that the continuing global financial crisis and poor advance ticket sales were behind the decision. The event had been billed as the largest ever exhibition of Stradivari's work, featuring some 50 instruments. The museum hopes to reschedule the exhibition, but it will not take place before 2011 at the earliest.
