Zukerman and Perlman in action

Violin–viola dream team performs the Handel–Halvorsen Passacaglia

Continuing our viola exploration, here is Pinchas Zukerman performing with Itzhak Perlman. The finest violinist–violist ever?
As he says at the start of the film: ‘A violin is easy to play, but a viola is something special. What’s a violin? Its nothing!’

Compare it to performances of the same work by two other great pairings: Jascha Heifetz and William Primrose, and Lionel Tertis and Albert Sammons.
