The Orpheus Chamber Orchestra perform ’Allegro in Springtime’ from Yohanan Cinnamon’s seven-movement Romantic Suite.

The work features on Cinnamon’s new album Piano & Strings, with arrangements by Israel Edelson. Jerusalem-based composer Cinnamon was not formally trained as a musician, but has spent his life fascinated and influenced by classical music, particularly works by Haydn, Debussy, Bach, Beethoven and Vaughan Williams. Over the years, he self-trained on the piano to find his own harmonic and melodic language, developing relationships with arrangers to articulate his musical ideas.

Piano & Strings is released worldwide on 1 December 2023.
