Musicians from ‘TRIKESTRA’ - members of the Deutsches Symphone-Orchester Berlin, the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie and the Stegreif Orchester - perform together in a virtual setting, in one of the most ambitious performances of its type. The YouTube video is made in 360 degrees - that is, viewers can click and drag the video to see different sections and members of the orchestra.
The performance of the third movement of Beethoven’s ‘Pastoral’ Symphony was originally planned as a concert at Berlin’s Vollgutlager venue. However, given the Covid-019 crisis, the concert was turned into a virtual performance instead. ’The whole world seems to stand still in the face of the pandemic,’ said the organisers in a statement. ’But we do not let ourselves be discouraged and in times of social distancing, we simply move a little closer.’
