Christian-Tetzlaff

Violinist Christian Tetzlaff has withdrawn from his appearance at the Annual Isaac Stern Memorial Concert, to be held at New York’s Carnegie Hall this coming Saturday, due to the pending birth of his child.

He will be replaced by violinist James Ehnes, who has just been awarded a 2016 Canadian Juno Award for his recent recording of Franck and Strauss Violin Sonatas with pianist Andrew Armstrong on the Onyx label.

Ehnes will perform an all-Brahms programme of piano quartets with violist Tabea Zimmermann, cellist Clemens Hagen and pianist Leif Ove Andsnes in the Stern Auditorium.
