Members of the Violin Society of America (VSA) can now search and view pages from the archives of the VSA Journal, the society's 39-year-old magazine. Each of the journal's 74 issues has been scanned in and made available to members only, going back to the first edition in October 1974 (pictured).

As well as instrument and bow making, topics covered by the journal’s articles include historical issues, identification, acoustics, legal advice and shop tips. The archive can be viewed here.

In addition, archive documents of the Catgut Acoustical Society (CAS) are now available to members and non-members alike, as downloadable PDFs. The full archive, consisting of journals and newsletters from 1964 to 2004, can be viewed here. The CAS was incorporated into the VSA in 2004 as the CAS Forum.
