Cremonese luthiers shape their craft

Friday, 06 December 2013

This photograph by Italian artist Ettore Favini is one of a series called Ipotesi di Finito #4 – Dare forma alla cultura – a collaborative project involving people who work in libraries, museums, theatres, palaces and other cultural locations in Cremona. For each photo site, the artist asks participants to create a geometric shape relevant to the work they do. Here, a group of Cremonese luthiers form the shape of an f-hole in the Piazza del Duomo.

The project is a commission from the Cultural District of the province of Cremona and will form part of an exhibition called Shaping the Culture at the end of 2014.
