The Juilliard School tops QS World University Rankings performing arts category

Second place goes to the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, and third to the Royal College of Music in London

The 2016 QS World University Rankings have been published, with New York’s The Juilliard School topping the performing arts category. The school achieved an overall score of 98.8 out of 100, with a perfect mark of 100 for Academic Reputation and 88.2 for Employer Reputation.

Second place went to the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, which achieved an overall mark of 97.1, while third place was taken by the Royal College of Music in London, which achieved 94.1.

London’s Royal Academy of Music placed at number five, Philadelphia’s Curtis Institute at number 13, the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin at number 20, Moscow’s Tchaikovsky Conservatory at number 27 and the Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest at number 30.

Higher education data specialists QS rank the world’s top universities annually, subdividing the list into 42 subjects. The rankings are based on academic reputation, employer reputation and research impact. For full details, visit the QS Top Universities website.
