Tarisio auction house launches new division for the violin trade

T2 will focus on speculative and restorable items

February 22, 2016

Online instrument and bow auction house Tarisio is launching T2, a new division designed for the violin trade, focusing on speculative and restorable items. Sales will be held six times a year, available to view at the company’s New York offices.

‘Over the past 16 years Tarisio has substantially expanded and developed, and the concept of a one-size-fits-all buying experience is no longer the most effective way to satisfy the different needs of our diverse clients,’ said Tarisio founder Jason Price.

‘In creating T2, we aim to provide an efficient and professional platform for items that lack a definite attribution, need restoration and in general are good and usable inventory for the trade.’

The first T2 sale will take place in March 2016. Visit the T2 website for details.
