October 17, 2013

The miniature Ostrovsky hand appliance, as advertised in The Strad, 1914
Using the Ostrovsky contraption was supposed to ensure 'finger elasticity and speed'
The resulting hand gymnastics are demonstrated
The miniature device was billed as a 'the only substitute for long hours of instrumental finger practice'
