Singapore Symphony Orchestra invites applications from outstanding musicians for the post of Concertmaster

One of Asia's leading orchestras,the SSO provides artistic inspiration through its recordings with BIS, international tours,outreach and education,chamber music, and a 30-concert subscription series.The SSO is currently based at the world-renowned Esplanade Concert Hall on Singapore's iconic waterfront. The current renovation of the SSO's long-term home,the Victoria Concert Hall, will provide a further world-class performance venue from 2014.

For the successful candidate,there may be teaching opportunities at the Yong SiewToh Conservatory of Music and the possibility of using a fine instrument from a renowned collection.

Violin professor

At the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg there is a vacancy for a
University Professor for the subject of violin.

(recruitment process in accordance with § 98 of the universities act
2002)

The job requirements are:

• university education completed in Austria or equivalent education
completed abroad, or comparable artistic qualifi cation,
• outstanding pedagogic and didactic competence appropriate to
the task,
• an excellent international artistic career.

In addition, the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg requires a
willingness

• to relocate your main place of residence to Salzburg and to
undertake teaching on a regular basis,
• to actively take part in the development of teaching concepts and
in the artistic life of the university,
• to be actively involved in the university committees and take on
management tasks as necessary.

We cannot pay for travel and accommodation costs which are
incurred due to the recruitment process.

The Universität Mozarteum is trying to increase the proportion
of women amongst its arts, science and general university staff,
in particular in management roles, and particularly welcomes
applications from suitably qualified women. Women of equal
qualification will be given priority.
